Towns, Discord login & parties

A party helps you find each other. A town gives your shared project land, permissions and a treasury to look after.

At a glance

Link Discord for friends, parties and towns. Parties allow up to eight players. To found a town, discover iron ingots and build a Town Hall; the current upkeep is 1 gold per claimed plot per day.

Decide when to link Discord

Guest play covers exploration, crafting, wilderness building and trade. Linking Discord adds social features and lets you access your character across devices. Use the sign-in offered by the official game; this independent guide never asks for your Discord credentials.

Guest progress is saved on the server, but access is tied to that browser. Clearing browser data or ending a private-browsing session can lose access. The current help says linking an account that already has a played character keeps both saves; it does not describe a single merged inventory.

For a shared building project, it is sensible to settle account access before you commit to a role or own a plot. Confirm that you can reach the intended character and the same region as your friends.

Meet up in a party first

A party can include eight players. It survives reconnects, but party chat clears when the browser closes. If a meeting plan needs to survive the session, save it somewhere the group can refer to later.

Blocking stops invitations and hides the blocked player’s party chat and presence, but it does not automatically remove either of you from a shared party or town. Leaving and membership management are separate actions.

  1. Open Social with N. Copy your friend code or enter a friend’s code, then handle the request in Invitations.
  2. Create a party in the Party area. Invite a friend or share the party invitation link.
  3. After opening a link, enter the world and accept the invitation in Social. Invitation links last 24 hours.
  4. Compare region names in Social and agree on a landmark. Joining a party is not a promise that everyone appears beside the leader.

Check the land before building a Town Hall

Town founding requires a linked Discord account and discovery of iron ingots. The Town Hall is under Build → Settlement. Before hauling materials, inspect the region and nearby claims: a region supports three towns, halls must stand at least 200 metres apart, and a new hall needs two empty plots between it and another town.

A new town starts with one 50 × 50 metre plot. Open Town with T to manage membership and territory. The invited player must accept an invitation; sending a link is not the same as completed membership.

Founders and officers can spend treasury gold to claim adjacent plots. Check the next plot’s actual price in the interface before confirming. We do not supply an invented universal founding or expansion price where the current overview does not state one.

Fund the land you have claimed

The current rule charges 1 gold per plot each day to the shared treasury. If the treasury empties, the town has a seven-day period to pay before the claim lapses and its land is released. The grace period is a recovery opportunity, not a free maintenance strategy.

Use the planner below to estimate a reserve for a chosen number of plots. It uses the published daily rate and counts upkeep only. Plot purchases, expansion costs, other spending and the timing of the next server deduction are outside this estimate.

28gold needed for 7 days
8additional gold to contribute

Your current treasury covers 5 full days at this plot count.

1 gold × claimed plots × days. Expansion prices and the grace period are not included.

Separate membership, building rights and ownership

Only the founder appoints officers. Founders and officers can invite members and share a town plan. Before accepting a role, agree on who expands territory and who funds the reserve. Those are useful social agreements even when the game itself does not enforce your group’s budget.

Buying, returning and leaving a plot

Press G for plot edges. The help identifies plots for sale in green and your own plots in purple. On an eligible plot, use F to buy; the payment goes to the town treasury. Founders and officers manage prices and buyer eligibility through the Plots interface.

Individual plot ownership is subject to town leadership. The founder may take a plot without paying and may list an already-owned plot again. Returning a plot, or having it taken back by the founder or officers, does not issue a refund. A members-only plot returns when its owner leaves.

Your buildings remain yours if you leave the town, but that statement should not be read as a guarantee of continued land permission or permanent protection. Check the new territory status and make a maintenance plan before leaving a substantial build behind.
